DAVIS GUERRA SMASHES RECORD IN FATIMA U14 A'S DOMINANT VICTORY OVER QRCIn a breathtaking display of talent and power, Davis Guerra delivered a record-breaking performance to lead Fatima College U14 A team to a resounding 235-run victory over Queen’s Royal College (QRC) in their latest inter-school cricket clash.
Batting first, Fatima piled on a staggering 394 for 3 in 25 overs, with Guerra producing a sensational 239 not out, an innings that will be remembered for its aggression, finesse, and stamina. His remarkable knock is believed to be among the higher scores recorded at the U14 level in Trinidad and Tobago school cricket.
He was well-supported by Zander Castanada, who contributed a classy 82, and JP Barrimond, who remained 18 not out as Fatima set an imposing target.
In response, QRC struggled under the pressure and were restricted to 159 for 9 in their allotted 25 overs. Fatima’s bowling attack complemented their batting heroics, with Jake Dookie leading the charge with 3 for 28. Guerra showcased his all-round ability with the ball, claiming 2 for 20, while Barrimond and Jeremiah Cumberbatch chipped in with a wicket each. The disciplined fielding effort also produced two runouts, sealing a dominant team performance.
Speaking after the match, Davis Guerra said:
“The knock and support from the team in the cricket game were crucial. Everyone stepped up, whether it was with a key shot, a vital wicket, or words of encouragement. For the U14 team, the goal is to keep improving, learn from eery match and build a strong bond that will drive us to success on the field.”
This emphatic win underscores Fatima U14 A’s depth and promise, and cements Davis Guerra’s status as one of the brightest young talents in youth cricket today.
