Fatima College and the Old Boys Association were saddened at the news of the death of Dr. Bernard Tappin on Ash Wednesday morning.
Dr. Tappin served as Vice-Principal from 1991 and returned to Holy Cross College as Principal in the year 2000.
His experience and wealth of knowledge combined with an approachable personality were valuable assets to the College.
His contribution in the field of History was profound and his passion for the discipline was felt both at the secondary and tertiary levels.
He had a keen interest in Catholic Education being acutely aware of its contribution to nation building and brought that influence to bear on the several boards and communities on which he served.
May he rest in peace.
