On Sunday, October 1st, the Fatima College Aviation Club had their first practical control-line flying session for the term, led by Mentor Christian Chacha of the Savannah Aero Concepts TT Club and Aviation Club President/Deputy Head Prefect Nicholas Henry, allowing students from Forms 1–6 to experience first-hand the different aerobatics and maneuvers that can be performed with model aircraft that consist of fuel-powered nitromethane engines within a balsa wood frame. Fatima College is one of the first schools within Trinidad and Tobago to focus on innovative build-and-fly projects for students ages 12–19, allowing them to seamlessly transition into the world of Aeronautical Engineering and Piloting.
